About

Hi, my name is Eric Liddon, I’m the owner of Liddon Built, a self owned and operated Woodshop in SW Calgary, Alberta. 

To tell you a little about myself, I was born in Calgary, Alberta, moved to Ontario when I was young and have come full circle and now live back in Calgary. I originally started my career in IT (Information Technology). Feeling it was never my passion I left in 2012 to pursue and support business with my wife Angela running Oh She Glows. There we built a successful plant-based cookbook and recipe brand, where we launched a successful website, app, and Multiple New York Times Best Selling cookbooks. While doing this I’ve honed and developed my skills as an entrepreneur. I’ve been running the IT and business side of things. In my down time I started pursuing my passion in woodworking and wanted to turn it into a career.

In 2017 I purchased a house to transform and sell. I gutted most of the home replacing the bathrooms, kitchen, floors, doors and trim. I transformed the house from a 1970’s retro to an open concept sleek and modern design. I loved the process of designing, putting in the hard work and seeing my design come to fruition. This fueled my desire to pursue woodworking and building things with my hands.

Now fast forward to 2021 our family has grown to 5. My beautiful wife and I have 3 amazing children (Adriana, Arlo, and Levi), and we have moved to Calgary, Alberta. I finally have enough space to run a full wood workshop which has always been a dream of mine. 

Liddon Built was created in 2022. I now take commissions to build custom furniture, signage, and any other woodcrafts my clients can come up with.

When I’m not with the family you can find me in the workshop.

My Vision

At Liddon Built my goal is to connect with my clients and build truly unique custom designs whether that be in furniture, signage, or other woodworking projects. With an exceptional attention to detail I want to produce the highest quality craft that will last and can be enjoyed for generations. My goal is while growing the brand, business and building projects, I want to give back to the woodworking and creator community which I have learned so much from over the years. I hope to pass on the lessons I’ve learned along this dream journey of mine.
